I spent years as a bartender while I studied and worked as my own agency director. Bartending gave me an outlet for social interaction, fast paced work, immediate rewards and ultimately great friends and lifelong memories.

Everything I learned, I learned from bartending. So where does Boston Shaker come from?

A boston shaker is that clever device bartenders use which consists of a pint glass and a metal tin. Ice, ingredients and a stylish shake and what you get is a delicious, satisfying and well presented beverage that leaves you wanting another while not wanting to ruin the one in front of you by drinking it.

This is what to do with interactive design. Taking all of your needs, your needs and your wants into a magic box (brains) shaking and presenting you with a look feel and taste that is all your own and one that everybody else wants.

Though this might be an oversimplistic metaphor for what I do with BSMD in its essence it is complete, logical and perfect. There is more involved of course which is where emotion can often come in…
